Beginners Guide to Gunpla Grades
- Super Deformed, low part count and very easy to build, chibi styled Gundam and very cheap. Though lots of painting and heavy sticker usage.
High Grade, 1/144 scale kits, the bread and butter for model kits, relatively high part count with a variety of robots to choose from, great for beginners. Little paintwork and sticker usage depending on the suit.
Master Grade, 1/100 scale, the larger kits with multiple suits, the next step fpr those who wish for more detail in their kits with a large part count. Little painting and sticker use required.
Real Grade, 1/144 scale, suits are built have a pre built frame but have more if not double the amount of detail a Master Grade has. Little painting required with a variety of detail decals to work with.
Perfect Grade, 1/60, the penultimate form of a model kit, with a huge part count and detail, kits in this line can take days to build, and easily wins out for most expensive.
This is from the Iron Blooded Orphans line, which was a larger alternative to the HGs but at the tim ed where they didn't have any MG kits. They're essentially large HGs with a slightly larger part count.
These kits are similar to the FM 1/100 in that they're large HGs but for more obscure/niche suits.
